Some Snyder fans are toxic, but over the last 5 years it is very concerning that we are ignoring the behavior that made them so and agitated a lot of this. A lot of that behavior was by and large, more common.

More often than not, the people who claimed to be "harassed" by Snyder fans are the ones who said something awful about his daughter and rightfully got called out for it.
I won't forget them making fun of him for his stutter, which is a sign of dyslexia which he has talked about at length but apparently we are toxic for calling out that sort of ableism which was wide-spread exhibited by journalists and others.
When the BvS anniversary came up last year, people who disliked his films quite literally went into the hashtag on here & harassed his fans for having supposedly horrible taste in movies (subjective). Many of those fans are POC and women because in general, he has a diverse base
We are constantly told day in and day out by these people that we are white supremacists. When we try to correct the record as POC, they talk over us and basically erase us.
When we are constantly told that we are bunch of sweaty dudebros, the women in the Snyder fandom try to correct that record. They likewise are talked over by the bloggers and other detractors.
When people sent Zack Snyder death threats over BvS in 2016, nobody was as vigorously frustrated over that like they were with other directors which shouldn't be happening no matter what.
I mean, a few weeks ago, you literally had a Collider journalist double down after he was told he was wrong for laughing about a man talking about his experience with losing child. That's been the common behavior more than whatever Snyder fans do which is mostly calling that out
You won't see op-eds about that. You won't see tweets about concerns about rewarding toxic fandom, which this group definitely was and they definitely were rewarded in 2016 and 2017 because WB decided to chop up SS and JL.
Point is, as long as you dislike Zack Snyder as a person over fictional characters and not just as a director, you are a victim. It's the same logic behind the Fandom Menace and Star Wars. These are the same sort of people.
You want to get away with saying racist crap? Just say you hate Zack Snyder and it'll be okay and anyone calling you out for that is awful. Want to get away with sexism? Same thing. Ableism? Oh that's cool as long as it is towards Snyder and his fans.
And if you don't believe me then check out @snyderhaters. They have got a LOT of evidence that proves my point that there is a blind eye to how exactly nasty Snyder's detractors are.
