REP REMOVAL THREAD: There is a lot of talk about removing Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from the House and there is a vote tomorrow to strip her of her two committee assignments. I thought it might be useful to look at some other members of the House who deserve removal.
/ Rep Alcee Hastings (FL-D) currently represents Florida's 20th District in Congress. Before being elected Hastings served as a federal judge for almost a decade before he was charged with taking a $430,000NPV bribe from a defendant in a case he was presiding over.
/ In a near-unanimous 413–3 vote Hastings was impeached by the House for bribery and perjury. He was then tried by the Senate and convicted in a 69-26 vote. He was removed from the bench in 1989.

/ Then there was that time that Rep. Hastings used his Congressional expense account to lease a Lexus hybrid sedan. The Wall Street Journal was the first to report that the Congressman used taxpayer money for the luxury car (at least it was a hybrid). https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB124364352135868189
/ I'm not exactly sure what crazy stuff Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene might have said before she was elected by the people of her district, but I'm pretty sure I would have heard if she had been taking bribes, been impeached, harassed women, or used taxpayer funds for luxury cars.
/ Why is Rep Hastings allowed to remain in Congress much less serve on the Rules Committee and The Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe. The answer is simple, for some reason the good people of the 20th District of Florida want him to represent them.
/ Rep Omar has been linked to ballot harvesting in her congressional district (video). https://twitter.com/JamesOKeefeIII/status/1310596878644510725
/ Rep Omar also famously suggested that during 9/11 "Some people did something." https://twitter.com/SwampDog4614/status/1304395496933515266
/ Again, Why is Rep Omar allowed to remain in Congress much less serve on the Budget Committee, Education and Labor Committee, and Foreign Affairs Committee? Again, the answer is simple, for some reason the good people of the 5th District of MN want her to represent them.
/ I know almost nothing about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene but I do know that the people of Georgia's 14th congressional district elected to her represent them and if they don't want her to continue they have the ability to recall her. It is none of my business.
