Goalkeeper - Emi Martinez
No suprises here - Emi has made an instant impact at Aston Villa since arriving for £20 million in the summer. His Aston Villa side have amounyed 10 clean sheets this season, second only to Man City's 12. A no-brainer really.

Left Back - Kieran Tierney
Controversial! For me, Tierney has been more impactful than his obvious competetors Shaw and Robertson this season. Ask any Arsenal fan and they will tell you he's been one of - if not their most - important player this season.

Left Centre Back - Kurt Zouma
Partenering new signing Thaigo Silva, Zouma has had a great season, amassing four goals - some feat for a defender! But it's not his goals that get him into this team, it's his defending; six clean sheets this season - that's more than Everton!

Right Centre Back - Ruben Dias
What a start he's had. Easily the best defender in the league this season, no-one comes close. The Portugese has lead Man City to 12 clean sheets in 20 games - a 60% clean sheet rate!

Right Back - Joao Cancelo
Reece James this, Alexander-Arnold that; we're all forgetting about the REAL best right back in the league - Joao Cancelo! He's even excelled when filling in at left back, excelling out of position when most players would fail. Great player.

Defensive Midfield - Fabinho
Tough decision this one, there were many players to choose from, namely Højbjerg and Rodri. But I picked Fabinho based off how he saved Liverpool in their injury crisis, filling in at an unfamilliar role in centre back. such a shame he's injured.

Central Midfield - Paul Pogba
Again not an easy call, with the likes of Ndombele and Partey to compete with. Pogba has been pivotal in Man United's title challenge this season, notably averaging an interception every 73 minutes this season - dominating the midfield.

Attacking Midfield - Bruno Fernandes
Who else? Bruno has been excellent this season averaging a *non penalty* goal involvement every 123 minutes this season, he's arguably been the best player this season overall. Not bad for a penalty merchant.

Grealish was the obvious option. Being the key to Aston Villa's attack this season, the captain has lead his club to the top half of the table. He has 9 assists in 19 games this season, confiming his reputation as one of the league's best playmakers.

A best XI wouldn't be complete without the league's top scorer. Salah has averaged a goal every 110 minutes this season, crazy numbers in a somewhat struggling Liverpool side.
