I mean this in the best possible way, this is not a call out of anyone who has been mentioned in any post lately. But please remember that just because a Twitter post said someone is safe or unproblematic, that doesn't mean that's universally true. 1/4
I don't mean to worry anyone or seem shady, but some of my most harrowing experiences in this community have been with well established members of the community who many people would vouch for as safe and trustworthy. 2/4
I have seen people use their status as a trusted member of the community as a way to prey on people. Please still take care of yourself and please still be cautious with your information, and please listen to your instincts regarding people. 3/4
Again, this isn't aimed at anyone who's been brought up in any recent posts. Just a friendly reminder to not let your guard down just because someone is a big name or was mentioned somewhere or is a mod or what have you. Trust yourself, take care of yourself, and stay safe ❤ 4/4
