The suspension of #DGF in Uganda. A thread:

My opinion:
Even though the president's concern may be one any other country would have, it has come at...2/6
...a wrong time. First of all, such a big 'fund injection' must have gone through all the proper processes before starting its operation in the country with such huge sums funding 'state and non-state actors'.

...as schools are re-opening, many can agree on the wrong timing of this call. This 'initiative' has been funding many NGOs (which are the 2nd biggest employer in Uganda), students and development projects which are certainly going to a stand-still. Unless this is political...5/6
Attached is the letter Pres. Museveni sent to the Minister of Finance to suspend the #DGF operations 'immediately'. Mr. Museveni wants new leaders (from Uganda) appointed and HE APPROVES THEM FIRST himself.
