As a public school parent, I’m frustrated that @SFUSD & nearly every school district across CA has failed our most vulnerable students who continue to fall further behind during #COVID19. Despite the current #CaBudget providing $5B of additional funding to assist (1/3)

w/ COVID safety & the reopening of schools, the districts did not bring back small cohorts for in-person learning. Even when SF was in the Yellow Tier which indicates low infection rates, SFUSD made no progress in opening up a single classroom. (2/3)

Districts, teachers, staff & families must urgently find a way to safely open up under the guidance of public health officials for the sake of our children. We need #AB10, my bill requiring the creation & implementation of school reopening plans.
