Last week, I got banned from LinkedIn, a thread…
3/10 I trained over 5,000 people on how and why they should use LinkedIn directly through online courses and in person meetings. Most of them for free too!
4/10 4 I was even tapped on to run the LinkedIn campaign for a presidential candidate leading up to the election…
5/10 I was just super passionate about LinkedIn. In the past 18 months I was able to grow from 5,000 to 115,000 followers on the platform.

During this time, I received over 100M impressions!
6/10 I turned these eyeballs into dollars, selling an insane amount of hoodies, courses and business services. The reach on the platform and opportunities from it was amazing.

I wanted everyone to know how amazing it was!!
7/10 Last week, I got this email, saying my comments got reported. I was confused. Honestly the only comments I really made were links to resources teaching people more about LinkedIn and responds like "ohh yeahh" to people

They said I got flagged on accident
8/10 When I asked what I did, I got this response.

I have no idea what I did but they said my account was permanently restricted! I haven't been able to log in and access any of my messages or contact. I've been and will continue to be fully locked out.
9/10 Now they have stopped responding to all my support emails and I am permanently locked out. Good bye to 115k followers and a ton of messages and conversations INSPIRING PEOPLE TO USE LINKEDIN MORE
10/10 I’ve heard of other big influencers on LinkedIn getting kicked off the platform. For me, it’s crazy that platforms ban their top influencers and promoters, they should be encouraging them and supporting them! But you can only control what you can control...
11/10 Peace out @LinkedIn! It was an amazing 18 month run! I still think it is an awesome platform that people should take advantage of, but don’t put all your eggs in that basket! One day it can all be gone!

If you are a content creator, remember to diversify channels!!
12/10 This eliminates a pretty massive income stream for me, but luckily I have other businesses and opportunities. Others might not be as lucky.

Use this as a warning to not have your business depend on a platform. You don't own your followers on a plfrm, the pltfrm owns them
