Let me share an interesting anecdote.

Called up a shop in Andhra to buy millets. After giving info about the products, he asked where I wanted them shipped. I said Gujarat. He said, “Isn’t that Modi’s state?” I said yes.
He then said, “How’s it after Modi went away?” I said going on well.

He went on: “I too am happy with him.” I was genuinely surprised because Andhra isn’t a state that I’d usually associate with Modi supporters.

And then he spoke about Reddy.
He was livid with Reddy, said he’s making people lazy, and that people didn’t want to work anymore. He said Reddy’s political survival is purely on doles. He gave an example of educational assistance.
Reddy gives ₹30,000 a year to one child in a family for education. If the family has more than one child, then which child to educate? Politically very shrewd.
By educating one child Reddy fixes votes of the entire household and can reach many more voters with the same amount of allocation.

The moral way would be to educate all children in each house but hey! where’s the political reward in that?
Anyway, the most important thing I drew from the interaction is he was absolutely unconcerned about the farmer protests. No mention.

I reiterate: Narendra Modi enjoys an incredible degree of trust that tramples any and every conspiracy.
The opposition isn’t finding support on ground which is why it has been forced to turn to international airheads to further their cause.

While Narendra Modi has never ASKED for support from individuals to help his image or politics because he thrives on OUR support.
