Sitting in session today and I'm just sick about what is happening. I didn't run for office so that I could waste my time arguing and playing politics. I didn't come here to play games. I'm not a politician. I'm a computer engineer. We see a problem. We find a solution. 1/
That, unfortunately, does not seem to be the #Michigan GOP mindset. Instead they waste time & money and use Michigan families and children as pawns in power games they are playing with the Governor. I'm sick at heart about this dangerous foolishness. 2/
The GOP says they want to prepare "today’s students for tomorrow’s workforce" and yet today, the MI Senate GOP rejected @GovWhitmer well qualified appointees to university boards who are needed to make decisions about issues impacting our students right now.

In December the Federal government allocated billions of $$ to our schools & children and what is the MI GOP doing to get that money out the door? Nothing. Our children are held hostage for political power. The GOP talk a big game while our children suffer. 4/
They want high school athletics to restart but the Federal money need to crush the virus & safely run athletics & other programs isn't moving. The $$ schools need to open up safely & provide the vital remedial education our children need isn't moving. 5/
That Federal $$ was allocated TO OUR SCHOOLS and is not for us to toy with. Our teachers, families - our kids - need us to do our jobs & get them their money. Let's get this done. NOW.
