The team that wins both matches in this series stays all alone in 2nd place in the SEC, which is huge for NCAA Tournament purposes.

The team that wins both matches will also stay within striking distance of 1st place Kentucky. (thread) @SECondToNoneIE https://twitter.com/mizzouvb/status/1356983037737635847
Though if Florida and Missouri split the series with one another this week, both teams will stay in second place in the SEC. And if a series split occurs, both teams will be 3(?) full matches behind Kentucky in the SEC standings.
For Missouri, they’ve already played (and lost to) Kentucky both times and unless Missouri runs the table and Kentucky loses 3 SEC matches, I don’t see the Tigers winning the SEC. But if Mizzou runs the table, I can definitely see them making the tournament as an at-large team.
For Florida, they haven’t played Kentucky yet, but 2 wins this weekend would help them keep up with Kentucky. At this point for Florida, they can’t afford any more SEC losses if they want to win the SEC. Their losses to South Carolina and Georgia already has them behind the 🎱.
