After a lot of talk about "luck" in our Community League C group chat I thought I'd put some numbers to it and give an adjusted ranking to our league. To do this I've used 2 methods: first is how many GWs a team has scored more than the average score and second how many GWs..
have they finished 6th or above. In the table I have shown the differences to actual win % to give a bit of luck 'perspective', then use the average of the 2 methods to give an adjusted win % and ranking.
No surprise here that @Musis22 has been riding his luck with a whopping 24% higher than expected but still remains in 2nd - still a great season! On the flipside @Fundalda is having the worst luck I've ever seen at 25% below expected. @FantraxMatt would rise from 10th to 6th!
We can also see that @satish_vasanth , @ChuckBoothSport & @wrigavin are 12-13% higher than expected but for them this is mostly down to the 'avg score' method, so they are potentially doing respectively well in weeks that aren't as high scoring.
Interestingly @draftgenine takes a small hit but moves up to first. I also wouldn't be able to get away without mentioning @FFootball92 who would shoot up from 6th to 3rd breathing down the neck for automatic super league qualification... oh what could have been!
The last 6 GWs would certainly have been interesting with the adjusted rankings with @Musis22, @FFootball92, myself & @wrigavin all vying for that 2nd place spot with only 1 win separating us and @ChuckBoothSport, @shyamssivakumar and @FantraxMatt only 1 or 2 wins behind!
