(1) The elected government may have lost its legitimacy, but you must never allow the military to annihilate what is left of the crooked timber of democracy.

Hence, I consider it is a democratic duty to refute Michael W. Charney's view that legitimises #myanmarmilitarycoup .
(2) I could not agree more about the Rohingya incidents, the NLD siding with the military on the subject was politically unacceptable and apodictically immoral. However, making a reference to the illegitimate positive law that the coup is legitimate is tautological.
(3) Furthermore, his view is a justification for a crime committed by the totalitarian elites who ruling-by-law is of their preference. Set aside ASSK and the NLD, ordinary people are suffering the most when these high lords/ladies play their game of throne.
(4) It is, therefore, a duty for everyone who believes in and enjoys the benefit of liberty to insist that a military coup cannot be condoned irrespective of any positive law. Freedom and equality of the people are supreme principles and defending them are the first priority.
(5) Charney's repetitive references to the Rohingya incident are valid. That the NLD does not help but exacerbate conflicts between the Burman and other ethnic groups is a fact. However, one can't condone the maxim of a military coup. You cannot allow them to have any legitimacy.
(6) The NLD may have lost its legitimacy as a democratic government, but you must not allow the military to annihilate what is left of the crooked timber of democracy.
(7) Living my life through three military coups tell me one thing: that although the elected government corrupts, you still have a chance to dismiss them in the next elections, as long as the system still prevails. You do not have such a chance with military dictators.
