On #NWPD, meet one of our coolest physicians in the US. RAF Doctor, Sqn Ldr Bonnie Posselt specialises in Aviation & Space Medicine. With an analogue space mission to her name she’s now working on next generation Helmet Mounted Displays for military pilots.

RAF Doctor, Sqn Ldr Bonnie Posselt started as a general medical officer in the @royalairforce before focussing on aviation & space medicine at RAF Centre of Aviation Medicine @RAF_Henlow. Being such a niche specialty, there are just 6 trainees in the 🇬🇧.

In 2018 @bonposselt travelled to the desert in Oman - with terrain similar to Mars. There she was the Medical Officer in a space simulation mission run by @oewf keeping the astronauts and crew safe.
Next, @Bonposselt was accepted into an exchange programme w/ @unibirmingham in the 🇬🇧 & 711th Human Performance Wing @AFResearchLab, Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. She is studying human performance w/ new Helmet Mounted Display Systems used in aircraft, & medical vision standards.
What she tells women considering the medical profession, @Bonposselt says: "With determination and effort, you can do anything you put your mind to - Aim high and push for your Plan A. Medicine offers a wonderful broad career & you really can go anywhere with it." #NWPD
