can someone pls with a bigger platform talk about the fact that the golden globes nominated music, sia’s horrifically ableist movie, twice?? and the implications of that for autistic people ?
this nomination means far more people are going to watch it, so they can watch everyone nominated and that means more people are going to think that this movie is an okay way to treat autistic people when it simply is not. it’s dangerous and the golden globes just glorified it
i am autistic and i’ve written about this movie before and tweeted my upsets but i am just 17 with 200 followers, why aren’t big names in media condemning it? it’s so deeply upsetting as an autistic person who wants to go into this industry to see how undervalued we are in it
also if people are wondering it got the nomination for best picture of a musical or comedy and best actress in a musical or comedy
