Know your worth
A dying father called his son over to his bedside and presented him with an old watch.
He said "Son this is the watch your grandfather gave me and it's more than 200 years old. Before I give it to you I want you to go to the pawn shop and ask the owner how much he would pay for it."
The son returns and says "the pawn shop owner is willing to pay 20 bucks because it's old and worn."
Father: "Go to the watch store and ask the watch maker how much he would pay for it."
The son returns: "10 bucks because it's broken"

Father: "Go to the museum and show the curator this watch."
Son returns and says "Father, the curator is willing to pay a million $ because it's rare and antique, apparently it'll fit their collection!"
Father smiles: "The right people will see your value. Never put your time into the wrong people or wrong endeavors and then get angry you don't feel valued"

Get out there and find where you can provide value.
We often devote so much of our time in the wrong job or the wrong relationships.

If we recognize our worth, or where we fit, we will avoid the pawn shop and watch makers of life, and only then will we have the energy and clarity to focus on our museum curators.
