Small thread on NFTs and hashmasks:
I believe the golden age of NFTs did not even start yet. I'm a huge fan of the technology.
BUT all the current NFT projects (like hashmasks) don't hype me yet. The "digital art" concept doesn't do it for me.

All I see are people trying to promote their hashmasks and tell the world how special they are. But if the hashmasks are rare, they should sell themselves without promotion.
I look at those hashmasks and just don't feel the need to buy one.

Mainly because you have no benefits when you own them other than making a profit.
Here is one example of NFTs that would create a real hype for me (obviously this is just an example and won't happen):
Imagine being able to customize the color of your Twitter name via NFTs

It would work like a hashmask, you buy an NFT with random properties and it rolls some attributes for your color (rainbow, gradient, w/e).
This way you have a benefit from holding your NFT and it creates demand, because people see the color and want it for themselves

I'm looking for platforms that come close to my example and I'm sure it will happen at some point.
My example is unrealistic tho, because you won't get Twitter as a partner. It was just hypothetical to show what real demand looks like.
