death threat, and that they've managed to create this narrative about ViOLeNt TrAnS aCtiViStS and how they're all innocent I thought it's important to show people what it's like

This person spent hours writing tweets and recording voice notes about me...

here's some of it. It didn't start off so mad but it escalated

They also recorded tonnes of voice notes saying similar things. There was at least 10. Someone I know downloaded them all in case. They were clearly very angry and drunk. I listened to a couple but it was pretty harrowing. They were worse than the tweets

To be ultra clear about what happened to lead to this:

1) I posted about last Friday's TERF WARS

2) They replied with this

3) I replied with a generic Katy reply like "this is mad, you don't speak for women either"

4) then I did my show and came back to this situation

I didn't "come for them" or set any "dogs", I didn't know who they were, we had no prior interactions, I didn't provoke them, I didn't do any of the things they're implying

In the voice notes several times they mentioned a prominent GC man who I'd argued with earlier in the...

day. And a lot about a traumatic sexual assault experience which they were blaming on "males like me". Typical horrifying GC narrative

When I found this stuff I saw they were having a breakdown so I deleted my tweet to them and messaged...

some of the people they'd recently interacted with asking them to help their friend. I got four replies and all four were aware of what was going on and already trying to deal with it

I'm not going to take any further action. I don't want you to either. The account is gone

The purpose of this is to show how scary it can be being a known trans person who is fighting against a hate movement that dehumanises trans people, and to fight this entirely fabricated idea that GC people are innocent victims of trans people. They are the aggressors

I don't want to frighten any other trans people. This is the first one I've had in about a year, they aren't super common, plus I only started getting stuff this mad when I got to about 15k followers/when GC hivemind learned who I was. It's a prominent person thing, you're ok

I am fine. At the time I felt awful but I am not worrying for my safety at this time. This is just for awareness. Send cat pics if you made it this far

Because I know that this is going to do the rounds on the GC apologist circuit and can already see one bad faith avenue:

Another after thought: discovering some utterly deranged GC account that has written 20+ tweets in a row into the void about how disgusting I personally am isn't a rare occurrence at all. I find about one a month. They just rarely escalate beyond that

And GC accounts writing this stuff about just trans women in general are dime a dozen. I suspect I will encounter over 10 just today
