I have always wanted a system where you sit down for few mins in a day & ensure you’re on track with your goals amid all the chaos of $GME, Elon’s memes, Naval’s gyan, etc
Nothing really worked for me until it did with GTD - ‘Get things done’. It's super simple, here's it:

Nothing really worked for me until it did with GTD - ‘Get things done’. It's super simple, here's it:
2/ first what’s GTD:
Every day, go through every single item in your Inbox (email, slack, to-do lists etc)
If the action takes <2 minutes to complete, do it immediately

3/ If not, then write down what the required action is, and place it on one of the following lists:
- Next actions
- Waiting for
- Someday/Maybe
- Agenda
- Projects

4/ Next action:
These are the next tasks on your priority and NOT goals. It should be so clear that you don't feel a need to think about it once written
eg:
Computer - write first draft of org OKRs for AMJ
Calls - Make 2 customer calls from calling sheet
Home - Clean shoes

5/ Waiting for:
Things that you are waiting for others to complete
Move aging requests to Next action
eg: Kshama - feedback on Bank partnership, 1st Feb (date when request was made)

6/ Someday/Maybe: List of things that you one day want to do, but don't need to get done now
eg: Schedule a guitar lesson; Order the book ‘Getting Things Done’ by David Allen

7/ Agenda list: Don’t waste time responding to one-off issues in real-time. Batch them (unless urgent) & discuss them all at once. Create an agenda list & bring it up in your regular meeting
eg: Leadership Team
- Are we having enough fun
- 10 yr Company Vision
- Quarter roadmap

- Quarter roadmap
8/ Projects: This list is for projects that have more than one Next Action that can only be done one after the other (serially). Write out all of the Next Actions & add them chronologically to your Next Actions list as the previous item is completed
7/ Review these lists regularly
- daily for next actions & waiting for
- weekly for someday/maybe, agenda & projects

8/ Goals: This helps in coming up with your next actions regularly
Write down your 10yr goals & 3 months OKRs
Review this at the pace you're comfortable with

9/ Tools: Different tools can work for different people
Having tried excel, evernote, keep, and numerous others, I have found iPad + Email combination to work best for me. I have seen many others succeed with notion, whatsapp and even regular pen & paper
