Really annoys me when people keep saying;

“Jose has brought in 10 players”,

As though he’s completely transformed the squad in some capacity 🙄.

Firstly, 10 is a myth to start with.

But let’s take a look at it while we’re here.
Gedson Fernandes : Loan deal from Benfica to bolster the squad numbers.
Was never any intent from Jose for him to be a key player & walk into the 11.
We had Kane out injured & Jose actually wanted a striker.
ENIC once again done us proud 🙄
Steven Bergwijn : Steve Hitchen signing for starters.
Negotiations were well in place before Jose even walked through the door.
Nonetheless Jose does like him, and I actually think he’ll prove good.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg : Jose signing.
Although I wasn’t overly excited by this signing he’s definitely gone on to prove me wrong, fantastic player and we’d probably be a lot further away from 4th without him.
Joe Hart - Backup squad player.
Need I say more.
Gareth Bale: Loan deal.
Look how disappointed we are as a fan base up to now, so imagine how Jose must be feeling.
Unless something happens very quickly I can see him back at Madrid in no time.
Sergio Reguilon: Jose signing.
Looks a fantastic prospect and can’t wait to see a lot more of him.
Matt Doherty: Jose signing.
We’ve all seen players struggle in the past to adapt when coming to Tottenham from a smaller club without the same expectations.
He’s been disappointing, but I guess that’s Jose’s fault 🙄
Carlos Vinicius: Loan deal & a backup striker that we’ve needed. Was never signed to walk into this 11 & start pulling up trees.
Joe Rodon: A Jose signing.
Nobody will convince me that of all the CB’s in world football, Jose chose Rodon from Swansea.
But let’s blame Jose, and not ENIC.
Firstly, I make that 9 players just to be clear.
2 backup positional players.
3 loan deals.
1 Hitchen signing.
And the rest on a typical ENIC shoestring budget.
Can you please stop talking as though Jose has transformed this squad.
This squad has a long, long way to go before it’s anywhere near rebuilt or transformed.
Jose is still largely having to tinker with the same players that put their tools down for Poch.
I might have been hard on Poch for his last 6 months, but we needed a change regardless. I think most can agree.
ENIC is, and will always be the problem at Tottenham irrespective of what manager we have sat in the dugout.
They’ll never fully financially or ambitiously back any manager.
I’m not here to argue with anyone about this, But ffs please stop with this whole
“Jose has brought in 10 players” without putting any perspective on it.
