I'm writing a piece that involved reviewing what the fuck happened from February to July

Here's my problem

I was enormously kind during that period. I never responded with anger or frustration b/c I knew everyone was searching for answers

How do I get back there?
There was certainly an escalation and it could be why I like Ron DeSantis so much

He was obviously doing his best in an unprecedented situation

And the FL press just shit all over every little thing that he did

It was bizarre and insane

But they kept doing it
I've a friend who I had lots of good conversations with in March / April who pointed to my defense of FL and TX opening up in May as the time I lost my way

I think that is when the split happened

That's when our fact-sets diverged
The embarrassing thing about all this is that, compared to what is happening now, the summer surge was basically just a blip on the radar.

The press absolutely shit on 1/3 of the country for being reckless assholes

Then winter rolled around and kicked those fuckers in the balls
California and New York got their goddamn asses handed to them after 6 months of telling us that the reason people with air-conditioning like to be indoors on 100 degree days is because they are redneck douchebags who lick each other for fun
then California gets utterly fucked in December on COVID because... we honestly don't know.

They had all the "right" policies, they were doing the "right" things. They still got absolutely crushed compared to Florida, which was supposed to be the class dunce.
I think to get back to the kindness I liked about myself, I need to let more things go

When someone tries to dunk on me, I need to think "oh man, that person is hurting. I hope they make it through"

I need to take every critical word and recognize that it's due to pain
Nobody hates me on this platform. How could they? I'm an adorable teddy bear!

No, they're still filled with fear and frustration and anger and I get that b/c so am I.

Maybe our objects are different, but the emotions are the same.
