It’s worth considering Diligence vs. Self-Promotion when it comes to #Pretendian allegations.

There’s a local, somewhat prominent #Karendian ringleader who, with their local institution likely disapproving, faces the prospect of defending their Libel in court.

The Punchline?
For as much as they’ve *quietly* promoted a Harassment Campaign, they’ve *publicly* and *professionally* promoted a Fake and Partisan Tribal Dominion Narrative that HURTS the valid land claims of Recognized Tribes.

“Integrity,” indeed.
Basically, the ringleader is one of those Enrolled Indians from Elsewhere who loves putting their name on things and expects tribute.

They don’t care about the Indigeneity or histories or peoples of the place they’re suckling from and visiting.
No, it’s almighty back-scratching.

And the Almighty is relevant, because instead of LEARNING about the local divinity concerning the LAND they’re on, as they offer public prayers at events, they substitute the proper authorities in our actual spiritual space for:

Jesus Christ.
Which is understandable, except Yeshua of Nazareth never actually set foot here.

Other divine beings did.
I’ve “met this person for the first time” maybe five times. Even at events where an org in which I have a public, VOLUNTEER leadership role, paid them to facilitate.

...

I’ve been called a Black Indian by some people for long enough to know *exactly* where that’s coming from.
Anyway, some people actually have knowledge or connection to LAND or community standing.

Other people JUST SHOW UP and flex.

For whom they flex isn’t reliably about facts, more than it’s about clearing Indigenous Space of everyone but them and their allies.
This is a crossroads place, so we get all kinds.

Most just come here for THEIR purposes, and if feel-good deference comes their way they’re happy to return the favor.

It doesn’t cost THEM anything, but it damages local people and our politics.

But hey, OUR problem, not theirs.
I mean we just live here.

We’ve ALWAYS been here.

And we’ll STILL be here long after they’re gone.

Which is to say, if one keeps their relations, much doesn’t matter on a long enough timeline.

...

But there remain consequences, regardless.
