Someone with a career interest in promoting threat inflation and brutal overreaction to risk is promoting threat inflation and brutal overreaction to risk. It's remarkable how quickly liberal media outlets, though, are embracing a war on terror aimed at our own country. https://twitter.com/NPR/status/1356841858555670538
Annual deaths to terrorism in those countries are in the thousands, with sometimes daily attacks. In the US more people are killed by dog bites more years than by terrorism. There's no comparison and media who featured this guy are doing a disservice to their audience.
I remember going to pakistan during the height of the terror wave, this was nothing like a brief riot on the capitol. This meant every major building wanding cars for bombs, guards with automatic rifles everywhere. A hotel I stayed in later reduced to rubble by a car bomb.
This like Alex Jones but for the left stuff trying to make people scared and acquiescent needs to be shot down by sensible editors and ombudsmen who demand that such claims are vigorously fact checked and defended instead of thrown out there.
