This is really how folks think about slavery. That is was basically a guaranteed job with benefits for Black people.

Here's why the "some of my best friends are Black" line is meaningless. You can still hold racist beliefs.

As @DDGilliard observed, they went too easy on these officers when they gave them the option to quit instead of get fired.
