What the hell??? It's true. She's on with Kenney on an unadvertised FB live.

Jason Kenney is awfully popular... oh.. wait... #ableg #covid19ab #ResignKenney
They're talking about nonsense. Like I'd like to take notes but they're just talking around the variant and how dangerous the variant could be. But like... that's it. Around and around and around and around.
Kenney says they're at the highest hospitalization rate for Covid19 in the south zone since the pandemic started.
Kenney says that later this week the Covid cabinet committee will be looking further into details on who will be in the next phases of the vaccine.
Kenney says the pay for his job is down 15% and they're moving into collective bargaining negotiations. Says they'll be talking to the "broader public service" about asking everyone to take pay cuts.
Kenney says that they want to give guidance to big summer events by the end of February. Says this might not be possible, but at least they'll give a bit of a framework. Hinshaw says it depends on population vaccination percentage by the summer.
Hinshaw says that this summer won't be the same as what we saw 2 years ago. Doesn't anticipate herd immunity through vaccination by the summer.
Glanced at the FB comments.
Kenney says a group of Albertans believe that Covid is overblown but people have seen surgery wait times double. He says we know what % of Covid cases will end up in hospital and as Covid cases grow we know 2 weeks in advance how many surgeries need to be postponed.
"I'm always happy to see a non-Covid question," Kenney says when cherry picking a question about Line 5, while sitting next to the CMOH.
Kenney says that if the Governor of Michigan doesn't get her way that she'll pick up the phone and tell Biden to veto Line 5.
Kenney says at the end of the day if you have a strong personal belief against vaccines that no one is going to compel you or penalize you for not taking the vaccine and in fact Alberta will be recommending a series of amendments to the public health act next month.
Kenney says we will not be issuing any sort of vaccine passports in Alberta. Hinshaw says there have been a small number of adverse events such as allergic reactions after the vaccine. Says they have also seen diarrhea or vomiting, says it's unpleasant but goes away.
Hinshaw says that the adverse events from the Covid vaccines are similar to this year's flu vaccine. Says every individual who has had a reaction has recovered from it. Kenney says there have been fewer than 100 adverse effects, Hinshaw doesn't know the number however.
Kenney says that he plans on using NAFTA to sue the United States over the Keystone cancellation.
Kenney says for a gov't to step in and retroactively remove regulatory approval on the basis in which an investment was made is a slam dunk case. Planning on claiming for damage through NAFTA. Says his lawyer doesn't want him talking about this.
Kenney giggles and says he isn't working with Trudeau and Klaus Schwab on the "Great Reset" and says that Trudeau is hurting Alberta's economic interests. He says the Great Reset is a concept of using the pandemic to advance social democratic ideas.
Kenney says he disagrees with strong environmental policies and higher taxes. He says that many say that gov't that applies any kind of health restrictions to limit public spread is part of a global conspiracy. He says this isn't the case, it's due to the doubling of Covid cases.
Kenney says if you spend all of your time on conspiracy theory websites you need to believe the doctors and nurses and people in hospitals and believe the bereaved of the nearly 1700 Albertans who have been lost to Covid.
Kenney says the maximum hospital capacity for Covid is around 2300-2500 beds. He says to those who think this is all about some globalist conspiracy that you have the luxury of circulating conspiracy theories but as the Premier he is worried about hospital capacity & fatalities.
Kenney says typically we lose a few dozen people to the flu and we'll soon be over 1700 Covid fatalities with extraordinary measures in place. He says this isn't Trudeau, this isn't Klaus Schwab, this isn't the Great Reset, this isn't QAnon, this isn't a conspiracy.
Kenney says they have set up the Butterdome in Edm as an overflow should they need it if we reach maximum capacity. Says there is an emergency overflow outside the Lougheed and have a contingency plan with the Red Cross.
Kenney says if you want to live in a province where there are body bags at McMahon Stadium and if we're like South Dakota where there is no restriction they have also had 5x our per capita # of fatalities. He says the health measures have been painful but they work.
Kenney is jumping back and forth and back and forth and back and forth trying to play both sides. It's so weird. He says pick your "imaginary villain" and lists off Schwab, Soros, Trudeau and says he isn't in cahoots with them. He says you need to control the viral spread.
Kenney says that 99% of Alberta businesses are able to operate without significant restrictions and that will go down further this coming Monday. He says to give your heads a shake if you think he is basing his Covid response due to some socialist in Switzerland.
Dude is talking out of both sides of his mouth. This is utterly bizarre. On one hand playing the "I'm not a socialist and I don't like restrictions" card and then on the other hand talking about how dangerous the virus is and how necessary the restrictions have been.
Kenney says it's too late for Canada to shut down like Australia and New Zealand. He says a number of Asian countries also shut down because "they're not naive about this stuff."
Kenney says that Australia and New Zealand shut down before they saw widespread transmission like Canada did. He says it would require a complete and sustained shutdown of everything. Can't leave your home, can't go to work, can't go for a walk beyond a perimeter of 4km outside.
Kenney says we have less than 1% of Alberta businesses who are substantially impaired by Covid restrictions and many people say that's too extreme. He says it isn't necessary to get to Covid Zero.
Hinshaw is just sittin' there.

Kenney says that Canada has no domestic capacity for vaccines and says this is a long term problem created by Canadian governments - largely Liberal - changed the patent laws for the pharma industry.
Kenney says that the patents were being taken by generic producers and that Canada went from the pharma and health vaccine industry, and now it's largely generic pharma producers being mass produced.
Lol he's standing up for big pharma. This is amazing.
Kenney says the EU did not do a great job signing contracts with pharma producers and countries like Germany and France are where Canada is in inoculations. Says there is informal political pressure and formal legal pressure to constrain exports to jurisdictions like Canada.
Kenney says that coal extraction has been happening every day in Alberta since the 1970s, and there has been coal mining non stop on the eastern slope for about 145 years. Says some people say the UCP repealed the 1976 Lougheed coal mining policy but they did no such thing.
Kenney says that in 1976 that Alberta had no water act, and if you're concerned about the water the water act will never allow any company to jeopardize the headwaters.

Where's that little stamp they used to have on Trump tweets?
The info above is highly debated or whatever.
Kenney says that the beauty of the eastern slopes is absolute but there can be resource development there as well.
Oh boy! Hinshaw!
Hinshaw says that the clinical trials showed that Pfizer and Modera were roughly 95% effective in preventing symptomatic disease. Not sure how well they work at asymptomatic infection or preventing spread.
I'm dropping out if this isn't done in 10 mins.
Kenney says the opioid crisis is close to his heart. Says that the restrictions they put in spring may have increased opioid overdoses. Says that AB imposed public health measures without hindsight closing residential treatment centres and shut down opioid replacement clinics.
Kenney says that CERB payments went to opioid deaths. Says there was an increase in consumption from the CERB payments. Says the mental and emotional stress may have also lead to more opioid deaths. "Deeply concerning."
Kenney says they course corrected in April regarding opioid replacement clinics and treatment centres. Says they are increasing support in every way that they can. Says we need to learn from our mistakes.
Says addictions are related to mental health and that our province was in a mental health crisis prior to Covid and it only stands to reason that the added anxiety has caused a worse mental health crisis - as indicated by polling.
Kenney says every death is a tragedy and every suicide is a tragedy but we actually saw suicides go down in 2020 compared to the previous 5 years.

BOTH SIDES AGAIN. THIS SCUMBAG.
Hinshaw says she's sorry to the people who haven't been able to play sports. Says that the rise in cases in Nov & Dec were connected to team sports outbreaks and despite the protective measures those team activities were a location for spread to happen.
Hinshaw says they have tried to focus on giving kids the things that are at the core of moving forward like being in school in person, and spending time w/ their friends.
Hinshaw says the hockey season cancellation is a blow for many people but asks those kids to remember it's a part of what we're doing for each other so that parents, grandparents, neighbours and friends who may be vulnerable to Covid that we're doing this to save their lives.
I am aware that the entire last tweet makes no sense. She started like 5 separate sentences.
Kenney says we have quadrupled our contact tracing since the early fall. Says when their Covid cabinet committee meet about twice a week that there is a focus on expanding contact tracing capacity and that budget isn't a limitation.
Kenney says right now they have a capacity to contact trace about 1200 cases a day. Says they are on top of contact tracing in real time. Says if the new more virulent strains take over and are 50-60% more infectious that there is almost no ability to maintain contact tracing.
Kenney says he was talking to "his friend" the Israeli Health Minister the other day and that they talked about contact tracing and handling exponential growth.
Hinshaw says that when they ID virulent strains that they do backward and forward contact tracing. Says contact tracing alone won't be enough and we all need to work together. Says people need to work w/ the contact tracing teams and help to stop the chains of transmission.
Kenney says even if you don't agree with all of these rules or observe all of them that hopefully we can see the end of this in sight. Says the numbers are going in the right direction and we can't take that for granted.
And that's it, that's all.
Okay someone buy me dinner.
