Live coding on twitch lol you see me struggling to understand a topic or solve a coding problem, you’ll see me constantly googling or rereading code to make sense of it all, add comments, take notes, laugh, maybe cry. You’re basically seeing how I work, live with no edits
Studying or coding on a real project is not as elegant as it may appear in an edited YouTube video. Debugging is essential lol always testing my code & figuring issues out along the way. And we definitely take breaks. And we’re not always smiling and laughing the whole time lol
The biggest thing is when you see me or (any other twitch streamer in tech) building a project, not all of the time is focused on coding. Much of it is spent planning, learning the tools you need to actually build it and documentation. You see alllll of that
Btw the reason I created this thread was because while streaming today, it finally hit me why so many ppl who are new to coding come to our streams. They get to see that they’re not alone when they hit roadblocks in the learning or development process. I like that
