Weekly swabs were taken, regardless of symptoms, to test for virus by PCR. No impact on asymptomatic infections. But 1 dose of vaccine reduced PCR positivity by 67% (from d22-d90). Suggests substantial impact on transmission. 2/

Overall, protection does not appear to wane when dose 2 is delayed to 12wk, and this strategy may actually make the boost more effective. There were fewer + PCR tests in people receiving 1 dose of vaccine (vs placebo), suggesting it may help reduce virus transmission. END.
