I moped, went through a lot of self-doubt, thought about abandoning my story, and realized I needed to take a break for my mental health. I read for fun, bought a bullet journal, just didn't pressure myself to do anything writing related. It helped, and eventually I... (2/4)
decided to reach out to a few CPs, telling them where I felt stuck with my story and asked for brainstorming help. Basically the same things I had hoped a mentor could help me with. And they delivered. After a few days, I had several new ideas for improving my story. (3/4)
I am so much more excited and confident about my story even though I am going to rewrite it. So I encourage others to reach out! Check in on old CPs and find new ones. Breaks are good, but when you're ready to get back at it, find your people. (4/4)
