As an ex-social manager, idk who needs to hear this but CREATING the social media content and MANAGING the social media content needs to be two separate jobs
I can't tell you how many late nights and early mornings I've pulled creating content on the fly for my higher-ups to lose their sh*t because the content had a spelling error/went out at the wrong time. That is a lot of responsibility and attention-to-detail for the UNDERPAID
This role requires you to be a copy editor/graphic designer/videographer/data analyst/moderator and you're lucky to make even 50k at an entry-level/associate level role. I had to negotiate my ass off to make even more than that.
If managers wonder why social media management is such a hit-it-and-quit-it role, I just explained it
Did not expect this thread to blow up and I have nothing to self-promote, but please listen to my brother @signedMiles’ podcast! He’s only 18 and super talented! https://anchor.fm/mogulmoneypod
