TW: CSA/ I’m still mad. So @poetrymagazine, here is an update that you need to consider, look at the damage you have done. I cannot imagine, in the slightest, why you think giving a platform to a man who was found with child sexual exploitation images space in the poetry.

Do you even understand the consequences of such an action? Not only that, the fact that your attempt to some degree to highlight prisoners is now overshadowed by this horrendous action. You have triggered writers and readers. I’ve been mad b/c I am a victim of child sexual abuse.

But that’s not the only reason I am mad. I’m mad that you chose to pay and give a large platform for a man who should be shunned by society. I don’t give a fuck about empathy or understanding when it comes to pedophiles. I will never ever get to see my abuser be held accountable.

And people are affected by this man, even if it’s just related to CSA images. Those children were raped. Abused. Many of them are still out there dealing with abuse, dealing with trauma. Many of those children will never get the help they need. But you profit off of CSA.

So you are directly supporting, allowing, profiting off of the abuse of children. Fuck you. Fuck you for not being responsible & vetting your writers. Fuck you for dodging your fucking responsibility. This is not cancel culture. It’s about being a decent human being.
