1/ It’s easy to fall down the rabbit hole of motivational videos. But we usually get "stuck" when searching for motivation.
2/ The truth: you don’t lack motivation.

3/ To stay motivated, you first need crystal clarity on:
A) What you really want to achieve, and
B) The action plan that will take you there

4/ Still, inspiring long-term goals are not enough to stay motivated on a daily basis.

5/ We humans are biologically wired to want instant gratification and rewards to stay motivated.
6/ Before McDonalds the availability of food was highly uncertain. Humans opting for small immediate rewards increased their chances for survival and reproducing.
7/ Therefore we must find a way to plant an immediate feeling of success each day, even though it is too early to see the results in the mirror or in your bank account.
8/ You need to start seeing each daily chore as a line of dominos. Each domino has the ability to knock over the next incrementally larger domino in the line.
9/ When you see each domino in isolation, they might seem neglectable. It is only when you zoom out that you see the value of each domino.
10/ And when you tick off all the little boxes you can today (i.e working out or eating healthy), then each day can be a success.
11/ You are not fixated on the end goal. You are fixated on keeping the momentum of your dominos alive.
12/ In summary, the "secret" to staying motivated:
1. Set a motivating vision
2. Create a realistic action plan
3. Track all your small wins to keep your momentum alive
