In a statement, Eric Trump, executive vice-president of his father's company, said: "At a critical time when politicians should be focused on saving lives and reopening businesses in Scotland, they are focused on advancing their personal agendas."
Eric also reserved criticism for @patrickharvie, who is bringing the debate to the Scottish Parliament. "Patrick Harvie," he said, "is nothing more than a national embarrassment with his pathetic antics that only serve himself and his political agenda."
Eric Trump's statement also says Trump Org has invested hundreds of millions of dollars into the Scottish economy, and "rescued Turnberry, a Scottish national treasure on the brink of collapse," before rebuilding it "into one of the finest resorts anywhere in the world."
Eric Trump adds that "in both Aberdeen and Turnberry," the Trump Org "has created thousands of jobs" & made an "overwhelming contribution" to the tourism industry.

Records show Trump's Scottish firms employ a total of 625 staff and have yet to pay a penny in corporation tax.
The statement doesn't address the issue of an Unexplained Wealth Order, or allegations that have been made about the Trump Org's Scottish finances.
I'll have more on this tonight and - of course - tomorrow. I'll be following the debate, and by the sounds of it, so will Eric.
