I'm getting some pushback from Vikings fans who don't want to trade Kirk because they think a Super Bowl window is still open. Here's why they are (sort of) correct, and that 2021 is basically their last chance as a team to get it done...
1. 80% of the starting OL have expiring contracts in the next two years. O'Neill in particular will command top dollar, and even though Reiff is just "fine" at LT, he's still better than the alternative of having nobody at all.

2. Both starting safeties are likely gone by 2022.
3. Adam Thielen is now 30 and ain't getting younger.

4. Their DL is basically Hunter and Pierce and a bunch of other dudes. Gotta draft more.

5. I like their young corners as prospects but we're still not sure if they are going to work out. I guess we'll see this coming season?
6. Kendricks & Barr are great but both are about to be 29.

The roster is strong in a lot of areas, but it is about to be REALLY old overall...and even with everyone coming back for one more shot in 2021 I still don't think they are as good as GB, SF, LAR, TB, and maybe even SEA.
So for a lot of Vikings fans the question boils down to this - the roster will likely be sorta-kinda together for one more year, at MOST. Do you believe Cousins will be able to get through the buzzsaw that is the NFC and win a ring in that one year?

If you say no, trade him.
Also if you hadn't guessed, I'm in the "no" column there.

They can absolutely make the playoffs and anything can happen...but with a weak DL, a thin receiving corps, and a RAZOR THIN LB corps and secondary that is relying on a lot of youth popping off...idk man. I don't see it.
