Not trying to craft excuses but every time we bring up the monologue I find myself asking these questions bc Wolfgang doesn't ACT possessive in a sexual/romantic sense but instead a protective sense. The last thing he ever wants is for Shin to suffer & feel trapped w/ him.(5/11)
Which makes Ch. 34, "I'm not forcing you to do anything." A v important piece in Wolfgang's personal growth in reference to the monologue & him NOT being his father. We see Wolfgang at his most honest & most vulnerable & I think Ch. 34 is when things started to change.(6/11)
Whether he remembers it is one thing but THAT phrase from Ch. 34 starts to apply more & more w/ each update. This lends me to believe that Wolfgang, if not consciously, has subconsciously come to terms w/ what he wants from/for Shin— which is not a damn thing.(7/11)
He will love him & care for him from afar if that's what brings Shin happiness. At this point, he is returning Shin's favor for every time Shin has been there for him since they've met. It is Wolfgang who owes Shin everything and he is not privy to that fact.(8/11)
Chapter 34-48 of TC was just as much about Wolfgang having an "aha" moment as it was for Shin in Ch. 39. Wolfgang's love extends beyond their romance & it's much more than that for both them at this point. That isn't to say I don't expect WolfShin endgame happiness bc I do.(9/11)
I just think Wolfgang's continuous growth as a man and just... as a person... especially for Shin is so beautiful. I really really really look forward to how the S1 monologue will be addressed bc it's such an interesting point w/ all this considered.(10/11)
Ultimately, I'm not sure if this makes any sense, but I guess what I'm trying to say w/ all this is that the issue isn't, "Shin won't accept Wolfgang's love." But instead "Wolfgang doesn't NEED or expect Shin to return/accept his love bc, to Wolfgang, it isn't about him."(11/11)
NOTE: Please don't antagonize Shin in my replies bc I don't think Shin or Wolfgang need to be antagonized. Especially in reference to one another. They're processing their feelings at different speeds & the one person who knows that the best IS Wolfgang. Be more like Wolfgang.
