During their day case surgery today, I asked patient how they got to the hospital, “my family member brought me but they couldn’t get out of the car, they’ve a bad cough”
We were told the family member tested negative last week. Later on we were informed that the family member was awaiting the results of a second test. And the patient themselves has a cough but it’s not as bad as the family members
How Covid comes into hospitals -

Coming to hospital and not informing any staff that they may be exposed to Covid
Their family member has tested positive for Covid. They work on a Covid testing centre and not self-isolating whilst waiting for a test result themselves & experiencing Covid symptoms @hselive #COVID19
If you have symptoms, if you are waiting for test results, if you are living with someone who has #Covid symptoms and are waiting test results, please stay at home
