I made this video specifically for BLACK people. Which is why I didn’t explain what a white person should and shouldn’t sign. But it seems that there are some confusion so I’ll explain
In ASL the first sign for Black with the index finger was the only sign for Black for a long time. It was used to refer to the color Black and the race Black. But White as in the color and the race have TWO different signs
So Black Deaf people created the second sign for Black with the full hand bent. It shows our pride of being Black. And it is preferred that Non Black people do not sign the second sign. So I made this video for Black people and to show the differences between the two signs.

Y’all! Remember that every Black Deaf person doesn’t sign the same. So, if they choose to continue to sign the first sign with the index finger instead of the second, that is completely FINE! Don’t use my video telling another Black person that they are signing wrong
