I love making money
It feels so good to feel accomplished. Knowing that what you’re doing and where you allocate your time and resources is paying off. Sure it’s hard and a lot of failure along the way but once you get in that groove it feels so good. One day at a time.
I love helping people. Especially through sharing knowledge — nothing better than people who learn and share. It’s the same feeling as making money. Feeling like where you allocate your time and resources has value. It’s important to find out what is of value to you. Chase that.
If you aren’t loving what you’re doing ask yourself what it is at the end that isn’t giving you the reward you feel you need to be happy. Maybe you can’t get that reward in your career but maybe you can in relationships or in self growth... do that with your free time.
If you’re feeling like you can’t figure it out. Take some time for yourself, reflect on each thing you do in your day, figure out what you get value out of and apply that to the rest of your life. Obviously there’s things that we hate doing but... those things are valuable too.
The only things we control is how we spend our time & how we react to things that happen to us/around us. Dont put yourself in a box — unless you like it there. Challenge yourself to add more value to your life by doing things that give you that rewarding feeling.
Lastly, I know there may be a lot of people who are down bad in the market right now. Failure is the best way to learn. This is a very valuable experience. Once you realize that you can come out on the other side knowing something you didn’t know before.
When I first started trading a few years ago I spent ~3 months down >$15K. I applied those learnings & am better because of it. So many notable people I’ve talked to or read about have had the same experience. They blew up an account or had a huge loss before they felt successful
Anyway — take a break. Stop watching your portfolio for 10 hours a day. Feel confident in your trades, set alerts, have an exit strategy. Go outside and get some fresh air. Regain.
