Interesting statement by @claremcdean to academics at York St John about problems with ebook availability & pricing - includes questions to ask when making publication & adoption decisions, which is when academics have the most direct influence on publishers. #ebooksos https://twitter.com/claremcdean/status/1356627346787364874
Suggests academics ask whether the book is/would be:

- Available in ebook format for libraries via the 3 main purchase platforms
- Available as part of a wider subscription package
- If the online copy costs more than 3 x the cost of a print copy per user
To clarify - whether the book would *only* be available as part of a wider subscription package (this is not good, as it leaves libraries vulnerable to 'bundling' strategies so you can't access particular resources without paying for others, which the library might not want)
It also includes a recommendation that the academic consider #OpenAccess resources and publication avenues, which đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť

Any academic interested in publishing an Open Access book, there is a v. informative toolkit available, which I helped create: https://oabooks-toolkit.org
