MSP is short term solution for increasing income of farmers but it's not futuristic/realistic. Reasons:
145 million tonnes of food grains is produced in India every year.If govt buys this at MSP,it would cost whole GDP. Hence govt can't buy, even if they want to.1/5

If private players like adhtiyas are also allowed since govt alone can't buy everything & are forced to buy everything at MSP private players will not get much profit and finally will back out & switch to other jobs.

Example of demand & supply relationship with prices is time when prices of 'Gawar' touched Rs 60,000/- per quintal when demand was very high while supply was comparitively less. This price was always between 3500 & 7500 otherwise. 3/5
Similarly last year due to pandemic many poultry farms were closed and hence demand for maize dropped drastically. This year maximum selling price of maize was 1300 which was 2000-2200 last year.

If demand ,supply of commodities are understood & farmers are guided to sow as per that, farmers will become आत्मनिर्भर & income will surely increase.
