Just want to remind everyone once again that in April/May Dr N K Mehra had made certain observations about COVID and its behaviour in India and basically everything he said ended up being right. I am just reminding people that give credit where its due.
Also, another person who had made certain observations about COVID was our very dear @ARanganathan72 People laughed at Ranga when he said do not go by RT PCR and use other methods. Guess what even Ranga was right in the end.
Another person who was right was @dasgobardhan who had said that Indians will fight COVID better because of BCG vaccination and the immunity it provides. Even he has been proven right. Wish Indians celebrated their own scholars a little more.
The reason I am sharing this information again and again is that we need to develop a certain level of trust in our own scientists, doctors, and experts and trust them far more than western "experts" on certain issues like pandemics and their spread in our own country.
Our native experts have far more experience as far as dealing with our day-to-day realities and the key factor is that they have #skininthegame We do not value these factors when we study subjects. My respect for Indian experts has increased by leaps and bounds in this pandemic.
There are two other people to whom I want to give a shout out. They are doctors @anupampom and my friend @amitsurg These guys have been sharing information and educating us throughout this pandemic. They have real ground experience of treating patients so I'd listen to them.
