Because if you didn't lose immediate family or very close friends, you didn't catch the virus, and you have steady income, you consider yourself ok, right? So you may not feel like you "deserve" to feel anxious
You'll ignore the fact that hundreds of thousands have died, or the mental/emotional effects of not being to go to too many places freely, the lack of physical contact and socializing, because, by all accounts, you're "okay"
It's not even selfishness, because you're able to empathize with other people's pain; you're just refusing to acknowledge your own
