Pomodoro Technique

One of the most popular productivity techniques out there.

I thought it didn’t work for me, but I am trying it again and it seems to be working.

Let me explain what it is, and how to do it.

The original pomodoro technique is like this.

- work for 25 mins
- take a break for 5 mins
- repeat 3 more times
- take a longer break 15-30 mins

And keep repeating as much as needed, while taking a longer break every 4 sessions.

For a lot of people this works very well to keep them productive.

But for me personally, I didn’t want to stop after 25 mins to take a break. I sometimes get into a flow where I don’t need to take a break for a long time.

So I thought pomodoro was not for me

But you don’t need to follow the pomodoro technique in that exact way.

You can make adjustments so it fits your style.

For me that’s 45 mins of focus 15 mins of a break. If I am really in the flow, I will keep going after 45 mins. And take break after

Find what works for you, and keep doing that.

Your own technique, that works, is better than any other technique that doesn’t.
