I've been getting alot of questions about #5amwritersclub lately, so for those of you who are new to the hashtag here is a quick Q/A rundown.

2/ If you do #5amwritersclub do
you actually write everyday at 5am?
For most of us, yes. But there is no judgement if you miss a day, or a week, or take off the weekends, or a month, or whatever. We're just here to root each other on.

3/ How long have you been doing #5amwritersclub
Next week marks 9 years. Not every day, but at least 1 day a week (usually 5 days a week) for 9 consecutive years. More on that in another thread next week. Others have been doing it even longer than me.

4/ What is this donut dance party thing?
A few years ago (5+ I think?) we started doing twitter donut parties on twitter, by sending each other fun encouraging GIFs to celebrate a week of writing. Purely fun. No calories.

5/ And the Virtual Donut Parties? What are those?
Those are more recent. Every 3 weeks we meet up via zoom to see each other and talk about craft. It's been going since the pandemic and has been a wonderful way to connect. DM me if you want more on those.

6/ So anybody can join #5amwritersclub ?
Anybody. Just show up at 5am in your timezone, write and tweet about it using the hashtag. We're all here cheering each other on. It doesn't matter what you write, or where you are. We have members around the world writing all the things.
