Pro tip #1: All those over 50 are not one group.

Pro tip #2: needs, skills, adv illness burden, access to vaccines varies
👉esp. by age, race/ethnicity, gender identity.

Pro tip #3: we need more accurate data summaries

A 🧵 on what this PCP sees in the . @CDCgov data https://twitter.com/CDCgov/status/1356318157200384002
2/ Age 65 to 74, or 75+ individually represent the LOWEST vaccinated age group than any other adult age group, 14 and 15% respectively

👉compare to NHS which report 42% of vaccinated represent 80+ age group
3/ Race/Ethnicity data is not readily available for 18.9 million of those vaccinated = 6% of US population

Still,
👉Black
👉Asian
👉Pacific Islander/Native Hawaiian
👉American Indian/Alaska Native

CUMULATIVELY represent <20% of those vaccinated
4/ women represent a group almost 2x compared to men (63% vs. 37%) vaccinated
What about other gender identities?
5/ 1 month = at least 1 dose for 13 million

👉US population = 133 mil
👉Vaccinated = 13 mil ➡️ 10% of population

Approx 80%+ need vaccination before "herd immunity"
👉at this speed = another 8 months

Not sure #frontlineworkers can hold the line another 8 months! 🤔
6/ Lastly,
