There's so much money to be made in the stock market, but it's useful to think of your strategies in different buckets.

From the @Banker__X telegram group [THREAD]
Bucket A - Marriage Investments

- Important money
- Long term
- Buy stocks that you're willing to hold for your entire life (like Apple, Naspers, Amazon)
- Stick most of your cash into this (80%+)
- Add to your positions monthly with a debit order
- These investments put food on the table for your grandkids
- You will have hard times but the relationship will only grow stronger
Bucket B - Casual Dating Investments

- Shorter term
- Think work from home stocks, or alcohol, leisure and hospitality
- Have less cash available (10-15%) to play with
- Be a lot more active in checking the performance
- This is your trading book, not your investment portfolio
- DON'T MIX YOUR INVESTMENT PORTFOLIO WITH YOUR TRADING BOOK
- Watch for key themes, sector rotations and pockets of value
- Great example is SASOL, the dip was faaaar too steep for a good company so you get in
Bucket C - One Night Stands

- Think GameStop, AMC, XRP, Nokia, Silver
- Only use cash you're willing to lose
- Not more than 5% of your cash
- Be disciplined about your price targets... If you need to make 20%, cash out at 20%
- The longer you stay invested, the more the risk
- Resist the urge to chase the FOMO trade
- Once you cash out, never look back
- Don't use marriage money to fund one night stands!
The idea is to actually have a combination of all three strategies.

Many of us here don't necessarily come from generational wealth, so it's important to make sure you are protecting what you have while you're growing it.
It's important to jump on opportunities as you identify them, but remember that in the long term, time in the market will beat trying to time the market.
I still can't believe all of this valuable information is free to find on @Banker__X 's telegram group.
