2 of 10/ Most of us have seen or experienced mild to moderate rudeness or disrespect at work. Rudeness is a manifestation of incivility.

4 of 10/There is a lot of evidence about the effects of rudeness in the workplace on staff physical as well as mental wellbeing, individual and team performance and ultimately patient care.

8/ The Workforce Equality Research Standards (WRES) staff survey continues to report BAME staff experiencing discrimination, harassment, abuse & bullying from colleagues and patients at a higher rate than their white counterparts across NHS organisations https://bit.ly/3tjiYED
9 of 10/ BAME staff experience of rudeness from superiors, peers, patients and patient families is not explored in the NHS workforce surveys and the impact on quality and safety of care is yet to be understood.
