I'm ranting to the very understanding @HannahCJacob and it's not fair on her. So, APART from unpaid projects run by trainees, what does @RCPCHtweets do for trainees? What are we paying for?

Quite a few people have mentioned shape of training - something that was being promised as the next big thing when I started training 3.5 years ago, and is currently projected to come in...2023 (maybe). Seems unlikely to have any serious effect before I CCT at this point.
A lot of people say the new curriculum has made a big difference

"ITS PINK!" Our TPD declared when they showed us 'Progress'. I and the 7 other fully grown adults remained...whelmed.

"No more tick boxes" they said - "next slide please, here are the boxes you need to tick"
Many are saying get involved and assuming I'm not. I'm as involved as an average trainee if not more. I've been a trainee rep, I attend deanery meetings, I am (was😅) on first name terms with my head of school and tpds. I engage with all surveys, read the bulletins 1/
I am involved with several projects at a local and deanery level to support trainees, in a number of different ways, as well as supporting and being supported by trainees personally. Just because someone doesn't think the college is perfect, doesn't mean they aren't engaged. 2/2
