Engender is proud to be a Carer Positive, Living Wage & Disability Confident Employer, & last year we were finalists at the Family Friendly Working Scotland Top Employer awards.
As a feminist employer we strive to reflect our principles in our practice & are committed to considering a range of flexible working opportunities - we've listed some in the next tweet, & you are welcome to get in touch via info[at]engender[dot]org[dot]uk if you have questions.
We are open to discussing individual flexible working requests with candidates, which includes, but is not limited to; home working, tele working, condensed hours, annualised hours, term-time working, flexible hours of work, part-time / reduced hours & job-share.
Our current Development Officer vacancy is offered on a full-time basis, but we are happy to consider appointing someone on fewer hours over a longer period of time, or exploring job share options.
Engender HQ is based in central Edinburgh & due to #COVID19 restrictions all staff are currently working from home. New staff will be home-based until it is safe to implement changes, & we will provide the necessary IT & furniture to facilitate safe & effective home working.
We're aware of the significant pressures people will be experiencing in light of #COVID19 & ongoing lockdown measures & want to make the application process as simple & flexible as possible. All applications should be submitted using the online forms here: https://engender.org.uk/jobs
The link above also has a guide to completing your application & you can save your application at any point, & return when you are ready to complete it. You can also check out our video application guide here:
All applications are anonymised upon submission & will be shortlisted by a panel. Equalities data collected as part of the application is anonymous & cannot be linked to your application. We have worked to ensure that the language on our form is as clear & inclusive as possible.
The equalities data we collect will be analysed after recruitment & will be used to identify any over or underrepresented groups in the application pool & will give us information to continue to ensure that our hiring process is as inclusive as possible.
We'll let you know if you are being invited to interview via email, & will also inform unsuccessful candidates. Interviews will be held during the week advertised & will be via Zoom. All interviewed candidates will be informed by email whether they have been successful or not.
If you have any questions about flexible working, the application process, or anything else, please get in touch at info[at]engender[dot]org[dot]uk or on 0131 558 9596. Any enquires will not be linked to your application & will not be seen by the selection panel.
