Coronavirus analogy for Starcraft...

Remember Terran versus Zerg battles?

Zerg evolve super fast & their swarms are unstoppable once they mutate/evolve and infect widely.

➡️Terrans can win only if stop Zerg early, or tech upgrade fast. Which means lockdown & vaccinate fast.
2) But Zerg always try to counter by exploiting the map by establishing more colonies because they can create hatcheries quickly. Zerg always have expansion advantage over Terran humans. And if Terran try to expand, Zerg simply mutate to more advanced species.
3) Terrans are great at bunkering and using siege tanks + turrets, but this defense strategy never works to win a direct Terran vs Zerg battle. Zerg swarms will simply always outnumber human Terran armies if we sit back complacently. Zergs will always bring Ultralisks.
4) Having played @StarCraft since high school, and learned the game dynamics through hundreds of Terran vs Zerg, you learn what works and what doesn’t. And being complacent never works fighting a hyper mutating enemy pestilence, or fighting amongst Terrans in multiplayer.
5) If you don’t move fast against a fast evolving plague species, you will always lose.

Hence, If we don’t shut down the Zerg or the #SARSCoV2 coronavirus with lockdowns and a #ZeroCovid strategy, we will lose. If we don’t vaccinate fast enough, we will lose. That simple.
6) Also, you know how when Terran Marine squad go out battling zerglings? When do the Marines lose? When the Terrans run out of medics!!! That’s why we can’t overwhelm our hospitals and why we need PPEs for our healthcare workers! Lose the medics, you lose the battle.
7) The winning human Terran strategy is to move fast and move out early and destroy the Zerg hatcheries before they become established. And remember it’s always better to fight off creep / not allow virus to spread community unchecked— so that the Zerg / virus can be stop faster.
8) And who is the traitorous Arcturus Mengsk warlord of this Starcraft analogy? You can take a guess. Some might say Trump, but I think it’s more Scott Atlas. He deceives people about herd immunity and that the Zerg virus is not a big deal. But he diabolically knows better.
9) Who is Jim Raynor of this Starcraft COVID analogy? I think Dr Fauci. He once served under Terran Dominion, but he survived being fired; and now he is free and still fighting the good fight to save Terran humanity.
10) the big question is who Kerrigan is of this pandemic is. I would say it’s the CDC—once the venerable public health institution who became COVID corrupted under Trump (as documented by @ddiamond) & became instrument of Trump propaganda—but now redeemed & force for good again.
11) Bottomline: the only way to win against a fast evolving and mutating enemy pestilence like the Zerg or #COVID19, we 🌍Terrans need to move fast against it. That means fast vaccinations, fast vaccine upgrades to adapt to enemy, & aggressive & bold #ZeroCovid approach to win.
12) if you’re one of those exclusive Protoss players— remember than we Humans can’t reincarnate as a Dragoon in real life, so you might as well join team Terran. We also don’t want to be Protoss who lose their homeworld 🌍 to the Zerg pestilence. So don’t be Protoss, thanks 🙏.

14) mutation is the spice of life.

Looks like we gonna require more vespene gas to tech our vaccine way out of this one
15) Moderna, Pfizer, and others are upgrading their booster vaccine shot number 3 for the nee tricky variants. Upgrades just take time. Meanwhile the Zerg swarm is still spreading... https://twitter.com/drericding/status/1353706396282474499
