He scored in 2009 and 2010 for Rochdale and in 2021 for West Ham.

Craig Dawson attended the League Two play-off final at Wembley in 2008 as a Rochdale fan. They lost 3-2 to Stockport County.

He bided his time for 13 years, and finally exacted his revenge by knocking them out of the FA Cup with an 83rd minute winner.
