fuck i know this feeling of wanting help bc you’ve spiraled and you’re crashing and you’re stuck 6 ft under but you never reach out bc you fear what people will think, will do if they find out. its a burden you have to bear alone because people finding out will only make it worse
i really think that sam is worried about ranboo and wants to help , but position as prison warden would obligate him to put ranboo in prison if he knew the truth, even if he knew that ranboo was falling apart inside and wasnt in control of his actions
i want to yhink that sams compassion and empathy would overrule his obligation to be the warden, but we havent seen him in yhat position yet . seen him forced to choose between the seemingly incompatible yet coexisting facets of who he is.
sam has a terrifying dichotomy of being able to completely disregard basic needs of prisoners AND be caring and patient enough to b a father figure for traumatized kids that grew up too fast . someone made a rly good thread abt it that i cant find but his character intrigues me
i really hope that they end up expanding on the (platonic im not fuckin weird) relationship between sam and ranboo
